THE DONATION

What are the expenses I must pay to participate a s a volunteer?

Those approaching international volunteering and learning that there are expenses can be disoriented, here you will understand why you need to pay a contribution to go:

1. Become a YearOut member:

To be able to leave, we will invite you to pay the membership fee of 20 euros when you register.

2. Pay your participation fee:

The participation fee varies depending on the project and the number of weeks you stay. Try to spend as much time as possible because the fee per week will decrease if you consider a longer stay. You are asked to pay the fee because receiving a volunteer includes additional costs for the host partner, including accommodation and meals, funding of on-site activities, transport and travel. And thanks to your fee, your host partner will have the opportunity to activate new projects and achieve its own goals, also thanks to your help.

YearOut is an independent association, also financed thanks to the contributions of volunteers, and does not receive funds from governments and other organisations. Also remember that donating is worthwhile! YearOut is an Association of Social Promotion (APS) and therefore all donations entitle you to tax benefits when filing your income tax return.

N.B: The participation fee you pay once you have chosen the project does not imply payment for a service.                                                                                                                  The donation paid is a necessary expense to cover all the costs (expenses related to the volunteer’s stay on site, administrative, insurance, membership costs, etc.) of project preparation and of the volunteer member, and in cases of renunciation, cannot be returned.
