A LITTLE MORE ABOUT CAMILLA
“Hello everybody! My name is Camilla and I’m an international YearOut volunteer in Kenya. I have been in Rombo, a wonderful place at the foot of Kilimanjaro, for more than a month now and I want to tell you what it means to be a volunteer. I live with Elaine, a lovely Irish woman who treats me like a daughter.
My week looks like this: from Monday to Friday I teach or organize creative and sporting activities within Esukuta Primary School, a school attended by more than 500 children from very large families. Going to school means guaranteeing a better future, in economic and health terms, compared to that of parents and previous generations, which for many is unfortunately already written.”
